First Beta release!


Spellborn Hunter is written using the game creation tool Unity (version 2022.3.5f1)

The codebase is a modified version of GamedevTV’s RPG course series, using the Third Person Controller code from GamedevTV’s Third Person course. (I am the TA and resident guru for both the RPG course series as well as the Third Person course).

The environment and many of the characters are from Synty’s Polygon Kingdoms, Dungeon Realms, Dungeons, and Fantasy Modular Hero sets. Additional characters are from InfinityPBR/Magic Pig Games Low Poly characters. Expect to see more characters from these collections soon.

The saving back end uses Unity Gaming Services. For privacy concerns, know that I have absolutely no access to your personal information. Unity manages all the player logins and provides developers with a token which represents that user. This system means you can play the game on one computer, then go to another computer and your characters will be available and up to date on that computer automatically.

There are technical limitations in the form of a size limit for each player’s saves. On average, you should be able to have up to 20 different characters without exceeding this limit. In the future, I will provide a mechanism for deleting characters you no longer wish to use.
